Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation Technician with 5-10 years of expertise in the field. Candidates with prior experience in desalination plant commissioning will be given preference. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems to ensure the optimal performance of the plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instrumentation Maintenance and Calibration:
- Perform regular calibration of sensors, transmitters, control valves, and other instrumentation equipment.
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with operational standards.
- Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Diagnose and resolve issues with control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and DCS.
- Identify faults in instrumentation systems and recommend effective solutions.
- Installation and Commissioning:
- Install and commission instrumentation systems, ensuring alignment with technical specifications.
- Assist in commissioning activities, particularly in desalination plant environments.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
- Provide technical reports and recommendations for system improvements.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and project-specific requirements.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers, operators, and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Support other team members during system startups and shutdowns.
Qualifications:
- Suitable qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
- 5-10 years of proven experience as an Instrumentation Technician.
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation in industrial settings, preferably in desalination plants.
- Proficiency with PLCs, SCADA systems, and process control instrumentation.
- Familiarity with desalination technologies, including SWRO systems, is an advantage.
